What Spy does with your data
Spy is a pass-and-play party game published by RitmoDev — 3 to 12 players sharing one phone. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of its own, and every round plays fully offline. This page explains, plainly, what the app collects, why, and how to reach me with questions.
Data we collect
Game data — stored on your device only. The app saves the player names you type into the roster, scores and round totals, any custom word packs you write, your default rules and settings (language, theme, sound, haptics, reduced motion), and the round in progress, so a game survives the app being closed. It lives in your phone's app storage, never leaves your device, and I cannot read it. Names are only used to run the game on that phone — nicknames work just as well.
Advertising — via Google AdMob
The game shows a banner at the bottom of the lobby, results and scoreboard screens, and a full-screen ad between rounds, at most once every three rounds. No ad ever appears during a round — not while cards are revealed, during discussion, or while voting. Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect an advertising identifier, device information, approximate location (from IP address), and ad-interaction data, used for ad delivery, frequency capping, and — where you've consented — personalization. Where required (EEA/UK), you're asked for your consent choices before the ads SDK starts and before any ad is requested. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Permissions — the game itself only uses vibration, for haptic feedback. Everything else in its permission list — internet access, the advertising ID and related system ad services — comes from Google's ads SDK and is used for ads alone. Spy never asks for your microphone, camera, contacts, location or files.
Purchases — there are none. Spy has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, so no payment information is involved at any point.
Analytics — as of this version, nothing is sent to a third-party analytics service. If that changes, this policy is updated first, and reflected in the Play Store's Data Safety section.
Children's privacy
Spy is a party game for teens and up. It isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Ads are limited to content rated suitable for most audiences with parental guidance (PG).
Your choices
- Where consent rules apply to you, reopen your choices any time with the "Ad privacy choices" button in the game's settings screen. That button only appears where those rules require it; everywhere else, your device's ad settings under Google → Ads remain the place to change them.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID from your device settings, under Privacy → Ads on most Android phones. Deleting it stops ad personalization; you'll still see ads, but they won't be tailored to you.
- Clear player names, scores, custom packs and settings any time with "Reset all data" in the same settings screen, or remove everything the app stored by uninstalling it. I keep nothing on a server, so there's nothing to delete on my side; what Google's ads SDK collects is covered by Google's policy above.

Changes to this policy
The "Last updated" stamp above moves whenever this policy changes, and material changes — like adding a new data-collecting SDK — are called out before they take effect.
